YOUTH WITH TALENTS  RESPONSE PROJECT TO COVID-19 (2021) Round 1

This is a proposed project of Youth with Talents Uganda who are affiliated with Lampstand Charity Family of God. We aim to bring possible simple solutions to women, children and other vulnerable groups in our parishes, divisions and districts who are impacted negatively by the Corona Virus pandemic (Covid-19) on the Global village. In attempts to prevent the spread of the virus these past weeks, the government enforced lockdowns preventing people from going out to find work and many are now facing starvation. Most had lived ‘hand to mouth’ (only half daily bread) to begin with and had no savings or stores of food.

To begin solving the unprecedented problem we are facing here, we need these major basic needs to be distributed to them to prevent deaths from starvation or the virus. Our soul cry is that we can respond to the urgent and emergency needs of 1000 people affected by the dangerous wave of COVID- 19 in the next six months and they are able to continue live with life normally and become stabilized in the period of 180 days charity

 

We humbly ask for assistance in helping us help others during this difficult time in sub-Saharan Africa. We have identified the needs as followed:

 

1. Food- rice, beans, corn flour and sugar

        *$50 each for 1,000 people=$50,000

  2. Preventive gears - face masks, gloves, soap, sanitizers and other disinfectants for 1000 people

       *$20 each for 1,000 people =$20,000

​

     Grand total:  $70,000            

​

We would like to commit to this project for the next three months beginning on 15th /5/ 2021 upto the end of December 31 2021 You can help by sending an urgent financial donation to begin life-saving distributions. Every donation of $70 and save one person from getting COVID-19 and from starving during this period. With your support have so far reached out to 35 households in this challenging  time since we started.
